WIP in acrylics. Studying methods to get snowy scenery.

Just finished this acrylic. 10 x 8 inch canvas board. Ox Gall used as wetting agent. Misting accomplished mostly with small fan brush and fingers.

White Line Drawing of Amythest rose. Rose planted and growing in container on my patio. Photo taken with a FinePixZ FujiFilm camera. After printing a black and white photo on white typing paper, I used tracing paper and a knitting needle to indent the outlines onto the art paper. Drawing paper 9" x 12", 80 lbs, acid free, smooth surface. Derwent pastels, wood cased pencils.

WIP: Strathmore drawing medium, 9" x 12", acid free, heavy weight 80 lbs, medium surface... various pencils in the H and B graphite colors. From my photo of a rose, Tropicana, that I grew in my raised French Rose Garden in Boise.

Since the hot summer has come to town, I find myself spending more time in the studio. Having thousands of photos that I've taken through the years, I am enjoying sketching from them.
